HPV (Human Papillomavirus) is a common virus with over 100 different types, some of which can cause genital warts or lead to cancers, such as cervical, anal, and throat cancers. HPV is primarily spread through sexual contact. While many HPV infections resolve on their own, persistent infections with high-risk types can result in serious health complications.
